Diners, Danish and Domination - Pt. 01
Nexi had yet to touch the food and her coffee stopped steaming twenty minutes ago. Ever since that couple had walked into the diner and took the booth next to hers, she had been mesmerized. The woman appeared to be in her late twenties while the man looked closer to fifty, based on his sexy head of salt and pepper hair. However, it wasn’t their age difference that captured Nexi’s attention.
After the waitress brought the blueberry cream cheese danish and coffee, Nexi had stirred in the usual overdose of sugar and creamer. She moved the plate to the side and held the warm mug in her hands, inhaling the delicious aroma. As she watched the tan liquid slowly swirl to a stop, two voices whispered to each other before passing her table.
“You just added five more strokes to your punishment for that remark. Care to make it ten?” the man said just as they moved into Nexi’s line of sight. His tone was severe.
“No, Master,” the girl whimpered. The man, who was well-built, had a solid grip on her upper arm.
“Then sit down and behave,” he responded as he released her with a slight push toward the bench that faced Nexi.
Having used only her peripherals during the interaction, Nexi could not help sneaking a better peek as the man moved to the opposite side of the table. She inhaled deeply once she realized she had been holding her breath the entire time. The man looked in her direction, making eye contact. Nexi quickly dropped her gaze back to her coffee. Her cheeks reddened as the man continued looking at her for an extra moment before sitting with his back to her.
Nexi wasn’t sure how much time had passed before she gained the courage to look up again. The couple had been speaking quietly, but once in a while she would catch a few words. They certainly appeared to be a couple and they hadn’t said anything unusual since they first arrived, but Nexi was captivated.
The woman had wavy brown hair and dark eyes. She had a faint tan that had probably been darker three months ago. An emerald green sweater hugged her figure, accentuating her breasts. But what drew Nexi’s attention was the black dog collar around her neck. It might have passed as a fashion statement if the woman had dressed in a similar way, but it seemed out of place with her attire. A silver dog bone charm dangled from the front.
Nexi was intrigued by the collar and the conversation she had witnessed. Her pulse had quickened when the woman called him “Master,” but when the man had told her to “behave”, her stomach did flips. Nexi had seen her fair share of these types of relationships in porn videos, but had never seen it in real life. She couldn’t help but replay the conversation over and over in her head, putting herself in the woman’s place.
A hand waived in front of Nexi’s face, bringing her back to reality. She shook her head of the fog and realized that she had been staring at the woman.
“Ma’am? Is everything ok with your order?” the waitress asked with a hint of concern in her voice.
“Oh, um, yes. Yes, it’s fine, thank you.”
“Can I get you anything else?”
“No, I’m good right now.”
When the waitress left, Nexi noticed the brunette looking at her. When she caught the woman’s eye, they both quickly looked away. The couple leaned in and whispered to each other for a few minutes before the man turned to look pointedly at Nexi.
Oh my God, she thought. She needed to get out of there quickly before the man yelled at her for eavesdropping. She frantically looked for the waitress so she could get her check, but when she turned back, the man was standing at her table.
Nexi inhaled sharply, but not just because he had startled her. The man was looking at her with a seductive smile. She had always been attracted to older men, which had yet to change, even though she was in her late thirties. The only difference was that the age gap kept shrinking. Now that he was right in front of her, she could see he had gorgeous cobalt blue eyes.
“May I?” he asked as he gestured to the seat across from her. Holy shit, that voice could melt butter!
“Uh, yeah, go ahead.”
His smile broadened as he sat across from her. He was wearing a crisp dress shirt and black slacks, but no tie or jacket. He sat tall in his seat, blocking Nexi’s view of the woman he came with. If he was trying to intimidate her, he was doing a damn fine job of it. He folded his hands together on the table and leaned toward her before speaking.
“My name is Charles. May I ask yours?”
“My name is Nexi and I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean to stare. I was just lost in my own little word. I wasn’t eavesdropping. I hope I didn’t upset your, um, girlfriend?”
“Nexi. That’s a beautiful name. It’s a pleasure to meet you,” he said as he reached out.
She stared down at his hand as if she had never seen one before. Then she realized he was trying to shake her hand. Like a polite individual. And she was just sitting there like a dunce. She finally got a grip on herself, pasted on a smile and shook his hand. She could feel the power behind the handshake, yet he was delicate with her. His skin is so soft!
“I just wanted to apologize. I hope our discussion earlier did not offend you,” he continued. As he spoke, he appeared to be studying her reactions.
“No, of course not! I mean, I didn’t really hear anything. No need to apologize,” she stammered.
“Tanna mentioned that you seemed to be admiring her neckwear.”
Shit. He spoke calmly and exuded a magnetic confidence that only increased her nervousness. Nexi could feel his eyes peering into her soul, but she found herself unable to look away from his gaze. This conversation was not going the way she had anticipated.
“I haven’t seen a, um, choker like that before. It just caught my eye. I’m sorry if I made her uncomfortable.”
“You didn’t. She liked the attention.”
No one spoke for a minute. Nexi’s breathing gradually sped up with every second he stared at her. She was scared she would have a heart attack if she didn’t break the silence.
“So, come here often?”
What. The fuck. Did I seriously just say that? His laughter confirmed that she had indeed spoken aloud. The embarrassment was enough to break the spell and she stared into her lap.
“As a matter of fact, we have breakfast here every Thursday. If Tanna has been good, that is. This is her favorite diner, so it’s always a treat for her.”
Well how the hell am I supposed to respond to that?!
Nexi smiled nervously and said, “Well that’s very nice of you.”
Charles chuckled and her blush deepened. She picked up a napkin and fanned herself with it. The waitress’s shoes appeared out of the corner of her eye and stopped next to their table.
“Could we get the check, please? And if you would combine this lovely lady’s tab with mine, I would appreciate it.”
Nexi tried to object as the waitress walked away, but he put his hand up to stop her.
“It would be my pleasure to pay for your meal. You wouldn’t want to disappoint me, would you?”
She just looked at him, her heart desperately trying to escape her chest. Finally, she managed to shake her head.
“Excellent. That pleases me. Tanna and I would like to invite you and your significant other to dinner at our house tomorrow night.”
“What? I mean, I don’t have a significant other right now. But why would you want a complete stranger over for dinner?”
The waitress returned with the check. Even upside down, Nexi could see that Charles was a generous tipper. He motioned over his shoulder and Tanna quickly joined the two of them, but remained standing.
“Tanna, this is Nexi. Nexi, this is Tanna. Now we all know each other. It’s a shame to see a woman as sweet and attractive as you have to eat alone. And Tanna got the impression that you might be interested in learning where she got her “choker”. Do you already have plans or are you accepting our invitation?”
“No, I don’t have plans, but...”
“Glad to hear it!” he interrupted. “Do you have any special dietary requirements?”
“I’m allergic to tomatoes.”
“Tanna, remember that. No tomatoes. Nexi, we look forward to seeing you tomorrow evening at 6pm sharp.”
As Charles stood, Tanna smiled and silently slid a napkin across the table. An address was written on it. When Nexi looked up again, the pair were walking away with Charles’ hand resting on Tanna’s lower back.
What the hell just happened?!
