Now, perhaps you can help me.
I wrote a story that's published on NovelTrove, "Swimming Pool." It tells the story of the start of <something>. At the story's end, I purposefully didn't define where the relationship was going, what might happen to the characters - in fact, I made it into a bit of a mystery. The story is published on other sites, and the readers are clamoring - well, okay, a few comments - for more of the story, perhaps even a series.
So, I'd like to ask you - if you were the author, where would you have the characters go? (Just to let you know, there's the primary and secondary characters, Ben and Randi. There's Elissa, Ben's estranged wife and Caleb, his son. And there's Chris, Randi's husband and Ben's best friend, and their daughter, Michelle. Plus, there could be other characters introduced.)
Any kind of thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
