Variety is what readers really want

As I review stories and publish them, I'm seeing that a few authors are submitting multiple stories at a time.  Because of how Noveltrove works, I publish stories in the order they appear as "Pending".  If an author submits three stories on the same day, I'll publish all three assuming they follow the Noveltrove Publishing Guide.

After looking at how many votes these multiple submissions receive, I think authors are doing themselves a disservice with those multiple submissions.  If a reader enjoys the first story, he or she may vote for it.  If the second is by the same author, they may enjoy the story but won't vote.  If the reader didn't enjoy the first story, when he or she sees the second is by the same author, they'll probably just go on to the next story in the list.

I understand the desire to get your work out there as soon as possible, and I'll continue to publish stories in the order submitted, but do yourself a favor and submit one a day.  Most readers like variety, and most authors write most of their work in a similar style about similar topics.  If you spread out your submissions, you'll probably get more views and more votes.

Does anybody have experiences or ideas about either or both ways?  Please share if you do.
