I wanted to get everyone's thoughts (non-insulting, please) about the situation with Target allowing transgender folks to use the restroom of their choosing. Do you think this is the right thing to do? Do you think individual, one-room, locked-door restrooms for everyone would be better? As a mother, I know that public restrooms have always been a target zone for predators, but that has nothing to do with the trans community. Unfortunately, though, I do think this could open the door for straight pedophiles looking to take advantage. As with everything else, it comes down to keeping a close eye on our children and remembering that it isn't the transgender community that is a danger.
