Recently the basic income has been in the news a lot. The idea is, in a nutshell, that everyone gets a "monthly salary" from the government that covers peoples needs. This in turn should allow people to only work in jobs they really enjoy, and to allow them to do what they want. The big question is, would it work? What do you think? Are you in favor? Would it work? What would be potential downsides?
