When I was a young girl and up into my early thirties, it seemed like I was always falling down somewhere. I know this sounds amusing, but many times I cracked my knee or severely sprained my ankles and ended up on crutches for awhile. Last night, my 14 year old fell while taking the dog out and sprained her ankle badly. It swelled up horribly and we went to the doctor for X-rays to make sure it wasn't broken. The odd thing is, about this time last year she did the same thing to the same ankle when she fell at school one day. Sadly, I see her heading down the same clumsy path I was on for years. Could she have inherited her clumsiness from me or is it more likely that we both were born with very weak ankles that tend to give out on us frequently?
